We’ll test for rot, knowing that the bottom of window frames tends to me more susceptible, as rainwater can collect there.

When we discover rot, we’ll take photos to show the business owner or body corporate manager, and then work to find the most cost-effective solution. When paint finish has worn off or is damaged or peeling, this also increases your risk of rot. Our experienced team knows how to access these areas using a metal prong, so we can assess whether any rot lay hidden behind the paintwork.

Rot feels spongy and looks darker than the surrounding timber. When it finally dries out, this timber cracks easily and can then crumble into fine particles.
